Federal Grants
The Developmental Disabilities Council is dedicated to advocacy, capacity building and system change activities for people with developmental disabilities.
To support this commitment, we offer grants to support programs, projects and activities that fulfill the purpose of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000.
This grant program is funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living/Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AIDD).
We seek out opportunities in the following primary areas:
- Education: Evaluation, Access to Services and Supports, Rights and Transition
- Health and Community Based Services: Medicaid Waiver Services, and Behavioral and Mental Health Services
- Employment: Job Coaches and Developers, Inclusive Employment at Market Wages, Vocational Opportunities, and Vocational Rehabilitation Services
- Legal and Civil Rights: Access, Disability Rights, and Medicaid Waiver Services
- Self Advocacy: Training, Leadership Skills, Self-Advocacy Skills, Online presence, and Access to technology
